If you're interested in transferring from Clarendon College to a two or four-year college or university the key to success is planning ahead.  Here are a few basic steps to follow when planning to transfer.

Step 1: Meet with an Advisor

Clarendon College offers courses and programs to suit the needs of individual students. In keeping with its mission, the College offers transfer programs, Career/Technical Education, student services, developmental education programs, continuing education/community service courses.  Meet with an advisor to discuss your transfer options.

Step 2: Research Colleges & Universities

It is never too early to start researching the colleges and universities that you would like to transfer to. It will be important for you to find answers to the following types of questions:
  • What school is right for me?
  • Do I want to attend a small or large college?
  • Which schools offer my major?
  • What types of financial aid are available to me?
  • Where will I live? Will I be required to live on or off campus?
  • Does this school offer services to assist me in finding a job?

Step 3: Complete the Admissions Application on Time

It is suggested that students submit their admissions and financial aid applications to their college or university of choice as early as possible. Every institution has different deadlines, so be sure to look up the specific deadlines for your top choices and give yourself plenty of time to apply. Most universities prefer electronic transcripts as this helps them process your admissions decision and transfer credit in a more expedient fashion.  Request your Clarendon College transcript here.
