The department of Speech Communication offers the student an opportunity to gain knowledge and skill in the broad-based discipline of Communication. Communication permeates all social, corporate, civic, educational and religious situations, and the demand for individuals skilled in its use continues to grow. The transfer curriculum is designed for students who plan to pursue a degree in Speech Communication at a senior college or university after completing their studies at Clarendon College. A major in Speech Communication prepares a student for work in communications, public relations, government and public service, sales, publishing, journalism, advertising, education, performing arts, and business.
