Cody Heck, Head Coach |
Cody Heck enters his first season as head coach of the men's and women's rodeo programs. Heck is a native of Perryton, Texas, and graduated from South Plains College in 2006. He competed for the SPC rodeo team from 2004-2006. After graduating from SPC, Cody transferred to Eastern New Mexico University and in 2008 qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in steer wrestling. In December of 2008 Cody attained his Bachelor's degree in Animal Dairy Science with an emphasis in production management and he is now pursuing a Master's degree in secondary education at Eastern New Mexico University. Competing for the Crutch Ranch, Heck qualified for the Working Ranch Cowboys Association (WRCA) finals in 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012 and has also qualified horses to the RHAA finals in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 held in Abilene, Texas.
