The Library, conveniently located in the center of campus, provides an attractive atmosphere for study, listening and viewing educational materials. The collection, which can be accessed through an online catalog system, reflects a diversity of viewpoints that encourages research and recreational reading, and is accessible through open stacks for easy browsing. The online catalog provides access to over one million titles available through a shared database accessible by all library users. The 10,500 square feet library features an open computer lab and areas for study, research and reading. The Library receives magazines, journals, and newspapers in print format; and additionally provides electronic access to full-text magazines, journals and newspapers. All Clarendon College students are able to access the Library’s websites, online databases, e-mail, and other Internet resources, and various software and micro-computer applications from any computer workstation in the library or on campus. The Library is a member of the Harrington Library Consortium (HLC) which is comprised of academic, university, public, and school libraries in the Texas Panhandle. The Library is named in loving memory of the late Mrs. Vera Dial Dickey, a life-long resident of Memphis, Texas, who had a passion for education.
