What To Bring / What Not To Bring Residence Hall Directors/ Residence Advisors |
Learning and growing at an institution of higher education is part of the academic experience. At Clarendon College, we believe that the learning experience continues long after the traditional classroom doors are closed. We believe that the residence hall setting is an ideal place to broaden your life experiences. It is a place where you can learn how to communicate and interact within a community setting, while learning, growing, and developing as an individual. These are the opportunities that await students who live in the Clarendon College Residence Halls. Housing forms can be completed in person or by mailing them into the office. Call us with your housing and dining related questions or e-mail one of our staff members. |

mtvU now in Cafeteria!Clarendon College is an mtvU campus. The Clarendon College cafeteria recently received an upgrade, free of charge. Two brand new 42” flat-screen televisions were installed this semester and continually broadcasting mtvU, a college student-focused branch of the MTV channel. mtvU is MTV’s college channel, featuring Emmy & Peabody Award-winning programming developed specifically for and by real college students. mtvU empowers 7.7 million students at over 750 schools with exclusive grants, pro-social initiatives, contests, opportunities to showcase their talents on a national level, campus events, cutting edge music and everything else that makes college, well, college. The deal did come with stipulations. mtvU is to be the sole entertainment provider in the venue in which it was installed –in this case the cafeteria. mtvU also requires it have exclusive programming rights, meaning no station other than mtvU may be shown on the TVs they install. In fact, in one does try to change the station on the new TVs, the result is static. |
