FIVE CC STUDENTS NAMED AS WT COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCHOLARS

CLARENDON, TX: Five Clarendon College students were honored by West Texas A&M University for being Community College Scholars.

Over the past week, the following students received an award from West Texas A&M University for being community college scholars:

  • Dawson Gleaves from Amarillo, TX
  • Kreese Milligan from Hereford, TX
  • Pake Parkington from Ropesville, TX
  • Brittany Sotelo from Amarillo, TX
  • Autumn Wadsworth from Sparks, NV

The above-named students were named by Clarendon College President Tex Buckhaults because their instructors, advisors, and others at the college believe their work merited extra recognition. Each of the students have been identified as motivated, hard-working students of high integrity. The students received an award certificate and an honor cord given only to recipients of this recognition.

In a letter to the award recipients, West Texas A&M President Walter Wendler stated that Clarendon College was allowed to name up to five individuals for this award. The students can be proud that they stand out among their peers for demonstrating critical traits of success.

CC President, Tex Buckhaults, stated, “I’m very proud of all five of these students because of their continual demonstration of quality academics and personal integrity. Although many students demonstrate successful qualities, the five named for this recognition stood out even more. I have every reason to believe they will continue to excel academically and personally.”
