Clarendon College provides GED exam preparation classes free of charge.

GED exams measures high school level proficiency in four areas: Reasoning through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics.  GED preparation classes focus on each of these four areas, as needed.

To apply for inclusion in the GED preparation program, complete the intake form at bit.ly/CCGED Amarillo.myoneflow.com.

GED exam preparation materials are also available for practice at www.ged.com.

The American Council on Education issues a warning regarding FAKE Online GED Testing Credentials. Please research any programs that make claims of high school equivalency programs. 


Eligibility for GED Preparation Program Participation

- Be a Texas resident or a member of the armed forces stationed in Texas.

- Be 18 years of age or older and not enrolled in school.

- Be at least 17 years of age and have a signed parent/guardian consent form. Click here to download consent form.

- Produce a completed TEA Continuing Education and School Improvement GED Test Administration Withdrawal Form for 17 year olds.

- Persons 16 years of age and who are recommended by a public agency that has supervision or custody of the person under court order MUST present the court order and completed Parent Consent Form in order to attend Orientation/Registration and begin testing.

Recommendations must include the applicant's name, date of birth, and must be signed by an official of the public agency. Judges may make the recommendation if they are acting in lieu of a juvenile probation officer.

 GED Exams

GED exams are scheduled periodically in Pampa to support the GED preparation program participants.  The exam schedule is available at www.ged.com.

If you are scheduled for one or more of the exams, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your test time, you must also bring a valid Photo ID.
