About
I am reminded of a quote from Paterson (1977) Bridge to Terabithia: “Just close your
keep your mind wide open.”
Interacting with students and allowing them to think big is a personal goal of mine.
The ability to create an environment of unfettered thought should be the goal of all
teachers. I enjoy working with people, encouraging them to gain knowledge and synthesize
that knowledge to solve problems.
My PhD. is in Systems Agriculture and My Masters degree is in Biology. I enjoy seeing
the various ecosystems on our fair planet. My family enjoys travel and our favorite
spot is in the Caribbean. A little Island called Roatan. My wife loves the monkeys.
Meso American Reef, the second largest reef system in the world, is very biodiverse and fun to visit.
We also are interested in seeing Darwin's Research area in the Galapagos islands.
After spending time in 23 countries and 19 states, The Panhandle of Texas is a nice
place to return home.
My Faculty role at Clarendon College includes teaching Biology and Agriculture courses
in Clarendon, Pampa and Childress. When I look out over the classroom and see the
"light come on" in their eyes is really rewarding.
