About
Program Director
I am Kim Jeffrey, Program Director for Criminal Justice Department. I am originally from Silverton, Texas, but have lived in many other places in my life. I attended West Texas A & M University where I received a Bachelors Degree in Political
Science. I then received my Master’s Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Criminal Justice
from West Texas A & M University.
My first endeavor in the field of criminal justice was in the 100th District Attorney’s Office serving as a Crime Victims’ Assistant. My duties involved advocating for victims of violent crime and making sure those victims
were afforded their rights under Texas law. This was an especially rewarding, but often challenging job. Additionally, I spent a couple of years as an adult probation officer for the 100
District Community Service and Corrections Department which give me an entirely different
perspective on the field of criminal justice.
