Career and Technical Education
Career and Technical Education
Career and technical education programs are dedicated to preparing people to manage the dual roles of family member and wage earner.
Career and technical programs enable students to gain entry- level
employment in a high-sill, high-wage job and/or continue their
education.
The career and technical education program offerings at Clarendon College
include welding technology, cosmetology, nail tech, heating and air conditioning, ranch and feedlot management, industrial maintenance, and allied health. In order to
assure that these programs continue to provide relevant training, the
college makes use of industry advisory committees. Each individual
program has an operational advisory committee made up of persons from
business and industry who advise college officials in matters such as
curriculum and current business and industry expectations.
Students enrolling in courses that lead to licensure by the State of Texas are advised that a criminal background could keep you from becoming licensed by the State of Texas. Students who have questions concerning licensure and criminal backgrounds should speak with program coordinators or the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Students also have the right to request a criminal history evaluation letter from the applicable licensing agency.
