Quality Enhancement Plan 2025

CC: The Caring College

Clarendon College is pleased to announce the kickoff of its
2025 Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) CC: The Caring College!

A Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a five-year plan aimed at improving student learning outcomes and/or student success. The QEP is a key part of the reaffirmation of accreditation process for institutions accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission On Colleges and demonstrates the institution's commitment to the continuous improvement of the quality of higher education. Our 2025 QEP is targeting improvements in student success and includes three initiatives that will promote a culture of caring at Clarendon College. This is expected to enhance student success in completing developmental courses on the first try, increase the percentage of students completing 15 credit hours and 30 credit hours, improve persistence rates from fall to fall, and positively affect the percentage of students earning a certificate or degree.

The three initiatives included in the QEP are:

1: CARING CONNECTIONS: Increase our staffing to support our students through the addition of a third Academic and Student Services Specialist to assist more students needing help with academics or navigating college life.

2. CARING COMMUNITY: Host New Student Orientation (NSO) for all new incoming students to set a caring, positive tone for students' first year at Clarendon College. This activity has previously been offered at the Clarendon campus, and this initiative aims to incrementally expand it to all four college locations and to our dual credit students.

3. CARING CLOSET: A basic needs pantry called Bulldog Care Closet will be established to provide the opportunity for students at all four college locations to obtain food, personal care items, and other basic necessities.
