Hi Clarendon College team,

We are excited to announce the kickoff of the Clarendon College domain transition and email security enhancement project. As part of this initiative, Clarendon College, in partnership with Runbiz, will implement the new cctx.edu domain while also transitioning email security from Mimecast to IronScales to improve and simplify email security.

As part of the change:

Faculty email addresses and Microsoft 365 usernames will change from @clarendoncollege.edu to @cctx.edu
Existing @clarendoncollege.edu addresses will continue to work as secondary email addresses
Email security filtering will move from Mimecast to IronScales

Example of New Username/Email:
Old Username: [email protected]
New Username: [email protected]

(Note: Your password is not changing. Only your username/email address is changing.)

Project Cutover Date: Thursday, July 16, 2026 after 5:00 PM

What You Need To Do

1. Notify IT if any websites or applications that require your email address to log in no longer work.
2. Review the attached instructions for mobile devices and email filtering.
3. Plan to test your logins after the cutover is complete.

During the first few days after the transition, you may notice more junk or suspicious emails in your inbox, this is because IronScales needs to learn how to handle these for you. If you receive unwanted email, use the red ironscales icon in Outlook to mark it as junk or phishing as appropriate. This helps IronScales learn your normal email patterns and improve filtering.

Testing Group

If you are part of the testing group selected:
Hello,
You have been selected as part of the pilot testing group for the Clarendon College domain and email security project.

Project Changes
• Your Microsoft 365 username and email address will change to @cctx.edu
• Email security will transition from Mimecast to IronScales
• Your existing email address will remain active as a secondary address

Key Dates:
New Domain Go Live: Thursday, 7/16/26 after 5pm
Pilot Testing Window: 7/17 – 7/21
Phone Call with Testing Group: 7/21/26 (Note: You will receive a Teams meeting invite)

What we need from you:
• Be available during your testing window to test access on your own
• Test access to all applications using your new login after Go Live Date
• Send and receive test emails using your new and old address
• Review junk/suspicious email handling by using instructions provided - identify areas of frustration
• Report any issues to the project team immediately

Your feedback will help us address issues early and ensure a smooth rollout.
