BULLDOG NATION IS PROUD OF THE CLARENDON COLLEGE MEATS JUDGING TEAM AS THEY BRING HOME A MAJOR WIN!
Posted By: Donna Smith - 3/10/2021 4:17:04 PM
CLARENDON, TX: The Clarendon College Meats team went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo form March 4-7, 2021 and won the junior college division of meats judging.

Competition in both livestock and meats judging during the spring semester each year is intense, with many colleges producing excellent students in these categories. Clarendon College has some of the finest in the nation, as shown through successful outings such as the 2021 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The meats team won high overall, and individual results include:

Megan Miller from Silver City, NM at second high
Cooper Hokanson from Dumas, TX at third high
Pake Partington from Ropesville, TX at fourth high
Kendra Pfeiffer from Boerne, TX at fifth high
Kamryn Bevel from Bedias, TX at ninth high

Johnny Treichel, the division director for agriculture at Clarendon College noted that he is very proud of the students and coaches – especially Meats Judging Coach Tate Corliss and some graduate students that support the program through coaching and mentoring current students. Treichel also noted that the college is still actively recruiting students for the 2021-22 Meats and Livestock Judging teams.
