Nursing Programs are held on the Childress and Pampa Campuses only

Step 1: Entrance Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or Ability to Benefit Test

Step 2:  Introduction to Nursing

  • One Semester Program, includes CPR Certification

Step 3:  Vocational Nurse

  • One Year Program, 48 credit hours

Step 4:  Registered Nurse

  • One Year Program, 29 Credit Hours

Introduction to Nursing
 
  • Classes start in August each year
  • No prerequisite classes required
  • ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills,  Admission Exam required. Scores expire two years from test date; can be re-taken once in same year to improve score(s) and MUST BE taken through Clarendon College only.
  • CPR training included in program
  • Upon successful completion of this program, a person would be eligible to test for the Certified Nurse Assistance (CNA) certification through the State of Texas.
  • Limited Space available
  • Financial assistance available to those who qualify

PROGRAM APPLICATION


Vocational Nursing
  • Classes start in January each year
  • One year program
  • 48 credit hours
  • No prerequisite classes required
  • ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, Entrance Exam required.  
    • TEAS testing will be in areas of Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage.  TEAS scores expire 2 years from test date; can be re-taken only once in a calendar year to improve score(s) and must be taken through Clarendon College only.
  • Financial assistance available to those who qualify

APPLICATION DUE no later than 9/19/22
PROGRAM APPLICATION
 Associate Degree in Nursing

  • ADN Bridge, LVN-to-RN Program, you MUST HAVE a current, non-encumbered TEXAS LVN License
  • Classes start in May each year
  • One year program
  • 39 credit hours
  • No waiting period after LVN
  • Prerequisites classes required:
    • BIOL 2301/2101 and BIOL 2302/2102 Anatomy & Physiology I & II (must achieve a grade of B or greater in each course)
    • ENGL 1301 (must achieve a grade of C or greater)
  • ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, Entrance Exam required for all incoming ADN Students... MUST BE taken through Clarendon College only.
  • Financial assistance available to those who qualify
  • Please note: An application for admission to Clarendon College must be completed prior to applying to the Nursing Program.

RN to BSN

 

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Clarendon College and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) RN to BSN Early Decision Program. The articulation agreement between these schools will allow you to plan by making the early decision to attend the TTUHSC School of Nursing RN to BSN program.  Upon the successful completion of your ADN program and along with meeting the eligibility and admission requirements for the TTUHSC School of Nursing RN to BSN program, you can complete your BSN in as little as two semesters.
