COVID-19 health protocol for employees and students at Clarendon College to return to on-campus activity.
Understanding and use of terms:
Exposure
- Contact with infectious agents (bacteria or viruses) in a manner that
promotes transmission and increases the likelihood of disease.
Close
Contact - considered someone who was within 6 feet of an infected
person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour
period starting from 2 days before illness onset or, for asymptomatic
patients, 2 days prior to test specimen collection until the time the
patient is isolated.
Quarantine vs. Isolation
You quarantine when you might have been exposed to the virus and may or may not have been infected.
You isolate when you have been infected with the virus, even if you don’t have symptoms.
If You Test Positive for COVID-19 (Isolate)
Everyone, regardless of vaccination status.
• Isolate for 5 days.
•
If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days,
you can return to campus, we encourage wearing a mask for an additional 5
days.
If you have a fever, continue to isolate until your fever resolves.

If you:

been boosted
OR

vaccine within the last 6 months
OR
Completed the primary series of
J&J vaccine within the last 2 months
• Encourage you to wear a mask for 10 days.
If you develop symptoms get a tested and isolate.
If you:

the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine over 6 months ago and

OR
Completed the primary series of J&J over 2 months
ago and are not boosted
OR
Are unvaccinated
• Quarantine for 5 days. After 5 days we encourage you to wear a mask for 5 additional days.
If you develop symptoms get tested and stay home.
